The Village is a small profit for purpose, privately owned, pre-school across the road from Dulwich Hill Public School. The name is reflective of our core value: it takes a village to raise and educate a child. It is our desire to be an active and contributing part of the local and broader community. The intention is to open at the beginning of 2021.

Our approach to teaching is inspired by the constructivist perspective, the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and is influenced by the work of Ann Pelo, Ursula Kolbe, Claire Warden and Sir Ken Robinson to name but a few. The Village Pre-school is founded and directed by Emily Joseph (B. Teaching, B. Early Childhood Studies).

The Village Pre-school will educate twenty children per day, between 9:00am-3:00pm, Monday to Friday during NSW Public School terms.
  • 3 and 4 year olds will attend on Monday and Tuesday
  • 4 & 5 year olds will attend on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
